Peer Spider

Latest Version: 1.2 (27 February 2007)

PeerSpider Download: Attached File  PeerSpider.zip ( 72.25K ) Number of downloads: 24963

Changes v1.2 (27 Feb 2007):

- Added 9 more torrent sites (21 total)
- Added ability to add your own sites (5 custom sites)
- Added top searches (enabled later on the site)
- Works on Windows Vista (out of the box)
- Removed 3 sites (constant popups and spam - mybittorrent + bittorrentshare | offline - piratic)
- Disabled 1 site by default (Torrentspy - excessive malware popup adverts. Enable it if you want it from settings)
- * Cant use "%" or "$" in search terms? Install the latest Macromedia Flash player. (peerspider does not use flash, websites do)

Quick Custom Site Guide:

Google is used as an example for site slot 1 (consult peerspider settings).

First box for Site Name.

Second box for Site URL. The search string area should be subtituted with "<%%>" without quotes. PeerSpider will remove <%%> and put the search string in its place when searching.

Third box for Search Seperator. Some sites use "+" without quotes to seperate two search keywords, for example a search for "Windows Vista" will become "Windows+Vista". If the site uses a space for a search seperator then you -must- enter a space in this box as well.

Changes v1.1 (23 Jun 2006):

- Added 10 more torrent sites (15 total)
- Added tab strip options
- Added desktop shortcut creation option
- Added site load progress bar
- Major Code rewrite

Description:

Tired of jumping from one site to another searching for that file you need to download? PeerSpider allows you to search multiple p2p sites with one single click. Sites appear in their own tabs for easy browsing.

Notes:

PeerSpider automatically checks for updates at runtime and informs you if any are available.

PeerSpider needs .NET v2 to function properly, it can be downloaded here .

You can remove or re-add site tabs from the settings menu.

PeerSpider does not need to be installed, just unzip and place the PeerSpider.exe file anywhere you like. To remove just delete the file.

Want to add extra sites to PeerSpider?

Let me know here or send me a PM. Chances are it will be added to the next version. Please mention the direct link to the search function if you own the site you want to add.

REQUEST: not sure if this is possible but it would be useful to be able to add your own tabs for sites other than the ones listed.

Could be done, but the user would need to do a bit of research on his own to determine how the sites search link is composed. Would probably be added in the version after the next.

Hi,

I am having a problem with Peerspider. wacko.gif
I get; The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)
Anyone else had this problem.
I am running a freshly installed Win XP Pro.
Any ideas on what to try?
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried to run it again?

If so remove the program and get a new download as you may have a corrupt copy.

good luck

Maybe I have a corrupt windows file.

What does this program need to run, windows files ?

Any idea to try would be appreciated.

Thanks

You do not have any corrupt files. You need .NET Framework 2.0 , go download it, a link is available in the first post above.
