As far as I know, PS3 has the blu-ray technology which enables PS3 to read PS1 & PS2 games so no problem with that. wink.gif

yeh for sure I agree with you WarXchild, gets released here in New Zealand in a few days, although with the heavy price tag it carries, I wont be getting it any time soon.

I have been looking at it in the shops and it looks extremely good, I think its time I updated my 1980's TV to get something that can run it tongue.gif

I grew up playing PS1 and PS2 I gotta say I love the Playstation. Im planning to get a PS3 myself in the future when they have more games.

As of now though, 360 is winning the market.

But yea PS still rulez.

And holy crap are there a lot of haters out there..

Yeah very true, removed the emotion engine hardware and left buggy software emulation for a very small number of titles and half the amount of usb ports and the system is crippled by a either if im remembering correctly a 2x or a 4x blueray player meaning that all games must be installed to the hard disk or there would be major popup and slowdown.....glad i never bought the overpriced pile of junk, just half arsed games that are done properly on other systems.

Sorry if this seemed like PS3 bashing statement but coming from a PS2 and playing on a PS3 its a poor effort by SONY to do anything worth having

Sorry DarkMist, But Can not agree with your statement about the "PS3 being a poor a poor effort by Sony". if your going to say that you should back it up with some examples, do you think? I bought the first wave of 60gb system when the came out and it has not let me down in the slightest bit. I did pay a heavy price tag for it but if you look at it, I got wifi connection, backward compatibility down to PS1, memory card reader with 4 usb port, free online play, rechargable controls standard, and a 60gb harddrive that i still haven't fill up. Oh yeah and did i mention the Blu-ray player that came with it. Which i gave read as being the best one in the market due to the update that came out every so oftern. Now what other system offers that...........none. To get a wireless connection with XB360 you have to fork over another 100 bucks for an adapter on top of what every you paid for the system, and you can't play your old xbox game on it either, or play HD movies for that matter. As far as installing games to the hard drive the PS3 is not alone in that department XB360 does the same thing on their games. But really what differance does it make. If it has a hard drive, use it, that what it's there for. With all the features that my PS3 came with I can say that i got my moneys worth. And don't get me wrong I'm not bashing either i have both systems and can say that the PS3 is far superior in my view.
