I search the best Linux to sail by intenet.

Please, I tell all for an exact answer.

No only "ubuntu", no only "puppy", no only "xubuntu", no only "mint", no only "debian"...

Exactly, one version, and your download point!

One download point, no more.

In linux mint, I see 21 versions! In puppy, 25 versions. One, the fire hydrant, have 4 versions more!

This is a lot of versions for me!!
I am only a flintstone in internet!!
A little people!!

PLEASE, I say PLEASE, I need only one download point for the best Linux TO SAIL BY INTERNET.

No more.

It is possible, my gentlemans?

THANKS!!

Your computer is suitable. Note that Ubuntu is available in many different languages.

For your system, I would recomend Xubuntu, this is a Ubuntu flavor for slower machines, it uses a small footprint windows manager so it will be much faster on your PC.

The latest version 8.04 will allow you to install this on your Windows XP system in Windows! It is a VERY easy setup to use, and will co-exist nicely with XP should you wish to use both, I have my laptop set up this way.

The setup is EXACTLY like setting up any software in Windows, and when it is finished, it is installed on it's own partation on your hard drive (default size is 15 gig) and ready to go. For a boot manager, it uses the BUILT IN WINDOWS XP manager and defaults to Windows XP should you miss the point where you choose which system you wish to run.

You can find this version here: http://www.xubuntu.org/

Hope this helps you some.
