I got a problem installing mublinder. First of, i tried your help pages and stuff and didnt find my problem. im sorry if my question has been asked already.

I installed Dotnetfx (22 mb) and WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86 (if hope these are the correct versions?)

I run XP (SP2) on a AMD64 3200.

After dubbleclicking on Mublinder i get an error message.

EventType : clr20r3 P1 : mublinder.exe P2 : 3.3.0.0 P3 : 459eba3e
P4 : mublinder P5 : 3.3.0.0 P6 : 459eba3e P7 : 15 P8 : c6
P9 : system.invalidoperationexception

Does anyone know a solution?

Tnx in advance,
Tub

Try repairing your Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installation under 'Add or Remove Programs'.

Tnx for your reply!

I tried repairing .NET framework 2.0. After it finished it said:' Repaired succesfully'.

I then tried to install mublinder once again to no avail. Still the same error message.

Do you have any other suggestions? Do i perhaps need the other .NET, the fx64net variant?

I started a fresh install of XP yesterday.

Tnx for the effort!

I'm sure this is a .NET Framework issue. You would only need the x64 file if you were running Windows XP x64 Edition.

You could uninstall .NET Framework 2.0 and then re-install it. It is not uncommon to have problems with installing .NET Framework 2.0. Sometimes 'repairing' the installation is not enough.

If this does not do the trick, then you will have to wait until WarXchild, our resident .NET Framework expert, comes in. It might help if you paste a screen shot of the error message in your next post.

You need to copy/paste the "Exception" part of the error message, the above is not enough to troubleshoot.

PS: You only need WindowsInstaller for installing .NET framework2 (and onlyif it asks you to). muBlinder itself does not need it to function.

That looks like a Windows generated error rather than a .NET generated one. Unfortunately that screen does not allow you to copy/paste, furthermore the most usefull part there would be the huge memory dump. Someone got an error similar to that many months ago and sent me a video of him scrolling through that whole page. I wont suggest you do the same, and i cant remember how we solved it.

I can see another window behind the one in the foreground in your screenshot, does that background window contain a link to a debug or memory dump file?

I would suggest redownloading, unzipping to C:\muBlinder and trying again. Just a stab in the dark.

Had the same error and unzipping to C:\mublinder instead of C:\My Documents\... did the trick. Thanks!

You have a problem with .NET Framework 2.0 You must uninstall it and then follow these steps.
