A fully-functional BartPE (Windows XP SP2) + Linux (Slax KillBill Ed
5.1.8) live CD ISO. Comes w/ Windows Explorer, AdAware SE + McAfee AV
updated as of 31-May, FoxIt PDF Reader, FileZilla FTP Client, Ghost 8,
UltraVNC, *ClamWin AV*, *AusLogics Defrag*, Partition Magic 8, CHNTPW,
WIPECMOS, MEMTEST, etc. Download README-HAWKPE.TXT in advance, for
details about the package or the change log, if you're a "repeat
customer."

Slax is an excellent example of a portable Linux, which has (among
other things) Firefox+Flash-9, KDE's KOffice suite, and K3B CD/DVD
burning application. So with a USB thumb drive and HAWKPE, you can
carry a nearly-complete computer system with you at all times. And
this edition has been enhanced to include the NTFS-3g 1.0 filesystem
driver w/ fully-operational NTFS write support ! Great as a Linux
learning tool and now includes the e-book: 'Sams' Linux Phrasebook.'
Enjoy.

PS: Depending on the source, you'll be downloading a compressed ISO as
a single, large .RAR file or a series of .RAR files and an .EXE (the
self-extractor.) Download *ALL* components in order to use HAWKPE.

PPS: Better than the UBCD, better than Hiren's Boot CD. This is a real
power tool for repairing PCs

PPPS: Bec the folks here at P2P Life are enlightened, beam HawkPE down via a torrent.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, the original set of links for
this release were deleted. Here are a new set of links, which
shouldn't be tampered with this time. If you started downloading
using the other links, you'll have to start all over. Sorry, but it
can't be helped. However, that's because this isn't exactly the same
ISO. Immed after posting #37, it was discovered that the McAfee
scanner and AV defs were out-of-sync (different versions), so this ISO
has the correct scanner and even newer AV defs. Tested and working.

BTW, work on #38 is proceeding quite well and will include several
interesting improvements, not the least of which is the ability to
backup drivers from a busted XP/2K3 host. Later: The Hawk

Thanks. Why not release it as a torrent everytime instead of rapidshare links?

Bec so few seem enlightened (as you, Snodger, and myself) are on the magic of torrents , when they already grok RS and only need a browser....
