The 'antiWPA' is for getting rid of things such as the Windows Activation window(s) you may encounter on un-registered copys of Windows. I have no idea if the files attached in that post will give you a 'genuine' copy of Windows also, but if so that will be why.

muBlinder on the other hand will deal with WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) which will detect if your copy of Windows is genuine or not. If you do have problems with using Windows Update or the Download Center, then this is what muBlinder is for. There are also notifications that will inform you if you have a non-genuine copy of Windows or not, which muBlinder can also deal with.

muBlinder also has another feature for blinding certain features of a program during installation to make sure you have a genuine copy of Windows. These are called blinders and will blind the installation into thinking that you have a genuine copy of Windows.

You still will be able to receive automatic updates no matter what state (Genuine or non-genuine) your copy of Windows is in.

I hope I have explained this well enough... feel free to add more Snodger or WarXchild!

Rogue has provided quite a comprehensive explanation. Here is the short version.

If you are not troubled by Notification pop-ups, or you are able to download and install all WGA protected files from Microsoft Update and Download Center, then you do not need muBlinder.

You can carry out a test by visiting this page and clicking on the Continue button to see if you pass the WGA Validation check.

I can get all the updates, but i have to use the antiWPA every time i restart to get rid of the 30 day thing and to get the updates??? Is there a permanent way to remove it?

one other thing, how do i completely remove mublinder?

i get this message everytime i start windows..

I cannot help you regarding your Activation issue if you are unable to find the solution in the topic started by Spiziuz.

As far as muBlinder is concerned, the message you refer to is a warning that the file LegitCheckControl.dll in your \system32 folder is not the correct Microsoft Validation dll. The precise status can be viewed on muBlinder's Validation screen.

You can easily configure muBlinder so that it does not check the status at Windows start-up if that is your preferred option. Removing muBlinder from your computer is also very easy. See the muBlinder User Guide for full details.
