You do not need to install SP1 before you install SP2 because SP2 includes SP1.

We have a topic that explains how to install SP2. You will find it here. If you had read the muBlinder User Guide then you would know this.

why don't u go straight to sp3 (contains sp1+2 and ALL the fixes up to nov07)
had it from teh M$ beta site (didn't ask me anything)--but they took it off now. you'll find a torrent

Windows XP SP3 is still in beta stages, and should really only be used if you are an IT Professional.

I would recommend to wait until SP3 final has been released before upgrading.

For the record, SP1 must in place in order to install SP3. SP2 can be installed on an orig XP (pre-SP1), then SP3 can be installed.
