I am attaching a link to a file that you should download. Place this file in your \WINDOWS\system32 folder. Then open muBlinder and look at the message under the Validation tab.

No you have to use the muBlinder browser when using muBlinder so it can ‘blind’ windows update ;)

you had to use the muBlinder browser in versions 1.0 and 1.1 then later in 3.0 and 3.1 i think, since i was doing the patching in memory rather than on disk.

Version 3.2 was the last to do the patching in memory.

Every file I try to download still tells me that validation has required.
Followed the manual, did all the steps.

Some files I can get, the ones I need I cannot.

What do you mean by "still tells me that validation has required"? I assume you are talking about when you visit Download Center. When you want a file that is protected you will be asked to validate by clicking on the Continue button.

If the file is protected by WGA, then the screen will refresh and the button should change to Download.

If the file is protected by OGA, then you will not be able to use muBlinder to blind OGA, and so you will not be able to download the file.

Since you do not provide any information about which files you were able to download and which you were not, I have had to make a guess as to your problem. If my guess is correct, then you should read the relevant section of the User Guide again. Under the heading

Can muBlinder be used at all Update sites?

the final sentence states: "

"For any Office updates not available at Microsoft Update, and all Office add-ons that are protected by OGA at Download Center, we offer a request service".

If my guess is wide of the mark, then you will need to provide more specific information if we are going to troubleshoot your problem.
