We will be doing a test upgrade on another server, if everything passes this site will be put offline for around an hour to upgrade the forum software to version 2.2.

Upgrading the forum software means we need to upgrade other components that are dependant on it, such as the friendly URL system you see when accessing a topic and the upgrading of the forum skin.

We hope with this upgrade we will also get less spam posts, as ive grown tired of deleting 10 to 15 spams a day.

One of the penalties of success I'm afraid my friend. Let's hope the upgrade has an impact on this.

I hope so, the new version generates better (harder to read by bots) random numbers during registration.

UPDATE:

Ran into a few snags while replicating this server into the test server. Will have to call it a day and continue on Friday.

Not sure if this is a problem with the whole forum or just me but after I log in and click on View new posts I get the following error:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

Not really a problem for me but just to let you know :(

EDIT: Sorry just tried it after posting the above and it works.......DOH :D

Heres one for you:

I posted a screenshot below
  • The Page is massive, and seems to be starting in the middle of the page (horizontal ways)
  • Words are either too close, or are too far away
  • Two adverts on one page?!?!
  • The boxes where the page numbers should be are WAY out lol...
And its throughout the website, not just on that page showed in this post

Posted Image

Thanks for the report Rogue. Im currently at work and using IE7, but i do not face the same problems that I see in your screenshot. Also at home using IE6 im not facing those problems, so im unable to reproduce what you're seeing. Did you install some plugins for IE7, or added anything to te default install? Does the same happen in other browsers?

Anyone facing the same please let us know.

PS: The upload attachment button is below the box you type replies in, with a green button labeled "Upload" :(
